This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
Summary: The App is designed to edit media on your device. Your source videos/images/audio and the edits you make are processed locally on your Mac.
We do not operate a server for uploading your media.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may handle the following categories of information:
- Media you select: videos, images, and audio files you choose to import for editing. The App accesses these files only when you pick them.
- App-generated files: exported videos you save, and temporary/cache files created during editing/export.
- Purchase information (StoreKit): if you choose to purchase a Pro/unlock feature, Apple’s StoreKit handles the transaction. We receive confirmation of purchase status (e.g., whether a product is unlocked) but do not receive your full payment information.
- Diagnostics you share: if you contact us, you may provide information such as your email address, messages, and attachments (e.g., screenshots).
2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not intend to collect:
- Precise location
- Contacts
- Microphone recordings (unless you explicitly import audio files)
- Camera photos/videos (unless you explicitly import files)
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide core functionality (import, preview, edit, and export your media).
- Maintain and improve the App (e.g., fix bugs, improve performance).
- Process and validate in-app purchases (via Apple StoreKit).
- Respond to support requests.
4. Data Storage and Processing
The App primarily processes your content locally on your device.
Your imported media remains where you store it (unless you export new files or create copies).
Temporary files may be created during editing/export and may be cleared by the App or the operating system.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in the following cases:
- With Apple: for in-app purchases and receipt validation through StoreKit, subject to Apple’s policies.
- Legal requirements: if required by law or valid legal process.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use Apple system frameworks (e.g., AVFoundation, StoreKit) to provide functionality.
Those services are governed by Apple’s privacy policies.
7. Permissions
The App may request access to:
- Files / Photos: to import media files you select and to save exported videos to a location you choose.
You can manage permissions in macOS System Settings. If you deny permissions, some features may not work.
8. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
Media files you import are retained by you on your device.
Exported files are saved where you choose.
Temporary files may be retained for a limited time for performance and may be removed automatically.
9. Your Choices
- Delete your data: you can delete exported files and any media files from your device at any time.
- Uninstall: uninstalling the App will remove the App’s local data, except files you saved elsewhere.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make changes, we will update the “Effective date” above.
