This Privacy Policy describes how Notch Todo Pomodoro ("the App") handles your information. We take your privacy seriously and design the App to collect and store as little personal data as possible.

1. Overview

Notch Todo Pomodoro is a macOS productivity application that combines a Pomodoro timer with a simple todo list, integrated into the Mac notch and menu bar. The App runs locally on your device and does not require an account or internet connection to function.

2. Data We Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information ("PII") on external servers. All data is processed and stored locally on your Mac.

2.1 Local Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally using macOS system mechanisms (such as UserDefaults):

• Timer settings (work duration, short break, long break)
• Timer state (current phase, remaining time during a running session)
• Todo items (titles, completion state)
• Basic UI preferences (for example: whether certain UI elements are shown)

This information never leaves your device unless you manually back up or sync your macOS system (e.g., via iCloud backups or Time Machine).

2.2 No Sensitive or Special Category Data

The App does not intentionally collect any sensitive personal data, such as health information, financial data, or precise location data.

3. Notifications

The App uses local notifications to alert you when a Pomodoro work or break session has completed.

• The App requests permission to show notifications (alerts and sounds) when you first use the timer.
• All notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by your macOS system.
• No notification data is sent to external servers by the App.

4. No Analytics, Tracking, or Third-Party SDKs

The App does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

• No usage analytics are collected.
• No behavior profiling or tracking occurs.
• No third-party ad networks are integrated.

5. Internet Access

Under normal operation, the App does not require an internet connection and does not send any data to external servers controlled by the developer.

However, your system or other software on your Mac (e.g., iCloud, App Store, system crash reporting) may independently transmit diagnostic or usage information according to your Apple system settings and agreements with Apple.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data is retained for as long as the App remains installed and the related files are not deleted by you or the operating system.
• You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App and, if desired, removing its preferences and support files.
• You can also clear todo items and reset timer settings from within the App's interface.

7. Security

The App relies on macOS security mechanisms and sandboxing (where applicable) to help protect your data. Because data is stored locally on your device, physical and system-level security of your Mac (passwords, disk encryption, etc.) play an important role in protecting your information.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for general productivity use and is not directed specifically at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes are published means you accept the updated Policy.
